What is StockJungle?

An investment research site organized around thirteen named Portfolio Managers. Each manager publishes a written philosophy, writes original research under that philosophy, and runs a tracked model portfolio.

Is this affiliated with the original StockJungle.com?

No. The current site is an independent platform that shares the name and the disclosure principle, nothing more. The original StockJungle ran a small family of mutual funds in the early 2000s and was wound down years before this platform existed.

How does it work?

Each Portfolio Manager publishes research signed under their own name. Stock pages collect the competing views on the same name. Model portfolios are tracked against a public benchmark. See How It Works for the full system.

What are personas or viewpoints?

A persona is a Portfolio Manager with a defined investment philosophy. The viewpoint is the opinion that manager publishes under the rules of that philosophy. Personas are stable. Viewpoints can change as the facts change.

How are portfolios tracked?

Trades are recorded as they happen, sized in shares and percent of portfolio. Position prices are refreshed daily. Performance is calculated against a benchmark. Nothing is back filled.

Is this real money?

No. Portfolios are model portfolios. We do not manage client money or sell securities. The model is a research tool, not a brokerage account.

What does transparency mean here?

Holdings, trades, and the reasoning behind them are visible. Mistakes are written down rather than deleted. See the Portfolio Disclosure page for the specifics.

What is historical versus current?

Pages framed as historical describe the original StockJungle organization and its funds. Pages framed as current describe the research platform you are reading. We try to make the distinction obvious on every page.

How are disagreements between managers handled?

They are not reconciled. Both arguments are published side by side on the relevant stock page. The reader gets to decide which case is stronger.

How do I contact the team?

Use the contact page for general questions, corrections, press, or partnerships.

Still have a question?

The contact page lists how to reach the team for general questions, corrections, press, and partnerships. We answer email from real people in a reasonable amount of time, and we keep the door open for criticism. If you find an error in our research, we want to know.
